Factory audits & quality control
Know who you buy from, check what you get.
ECI audits factories on site, checks certificates and inspects your goods during and after production, right up to container loading and sealing.

What we do
Quality checked at every stage, from factory to container
In China, physical presence makes the difference. Our team goes where your goods are made.
01
Factory audits
On-site visits to assess production capacity, equipment, organisation and working practices before you place an order.
02
Certificate and document checks
Business documents, product certificates and test reports reviewed against your requirements.
03
Pre-production check
Raw materials, components and samples checked before mass production starts.
04
In-line inspection
Checks during production to detect defects early, while corrections are still possible.
05
Final inspection
Finished goods inspected against your specification and an agreed sampling plan, before shipment.
06
Container loading and sealing
We check the loading and sealing of the container, so that what was approved is what actually ships.
How it works
A simple inspection process, in 4 steps
You set the standard, we check it on the ground.
1
Define the criteria
We agree your quality requirements, tolerances and inspection checklist.
2
Audit or inspect
Our team goes on site at the stage or stages you choose.
3
Report
You receive a written report of what was checked and what was found.
4
Decide and follow up
You accept, request rework or re-inspection; we follow the corrective actions with the supplier.
Who it’s for
For importers who cannot be on site themselves
Whether you are new to the Chinese market or already import regularly, a check on the ground helps you avoid unpleasant surprises when the goods arrive.
Team on the ground
We are in China: we can go to the factory, not just call it.
Early detection
Problems spotted while they can still be fixed.
Clear reporting
A written report you can use to decide and to talk to your supplier.
Direct dialogue
We speak to the factory in Chinese, and to you in your language.

Checks that go as far as container sealing.
FAQ
Quality control in China: your questions
When should quality control take place?
Ideally at several stages: before production (materials and samples), during production and before shipment. Which stages are worth it depends on your product, volumes and risk, and we advise you case by case.
Can you audit a supplier I found myself?
Yes. You can ask us to audit or inspect a supplier you already work with or are considering, even if you did not source through ECI.
What do I receive after an inspection?
A written report summarising what was checked and what was found, so that you can decide whether to accept the goods, ask for rework or request a new inspection before they ship.
An import project from China?
Tell us what you need: we will come back to you with a clear approach, qualified suppliers and a controlled budget.
